HOLLYWOOD, Fla. --- Richard Mayol (3-0) beat Franklin Torres (1-1) by first round submission on Friday night at Action Fight League.

Mayol and Torres exchanged takedowns before Mayol would find his way to Torres' back and finish the fight with a rear naked choke.

Mayol said "I gotta give him props, he caught my off guard with the two takedowns. Really good on his part."

The match was the loudest fight of the night, with fans of both fighters voicing their support. In the biggest stage of Mayol's career so far, he was unfazed. Mayol said "every fight is the same thing, the only thing that matters is in the cage."

Mayor has finished all his fights and said he is driven to finish fights because if he does not finish then "nobody cares".

Mayol, 23, could be close to a title shot on the regional scene. If AFL aims to crown a welterweight champion, Mayol's name could be in the mix.

Otherwise, Mayol could set his sights on Titan FC's vacant welterweight title which was last held by PFL finalist, Dilano Taylor.
