Trice and Pace capture belts at RIZE

HOLLYWOOD, FL -- Dakota Trice (5-0-1) walked into the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday night with a goal that multiple people have failed before: defeat LJ Wilson for the RIZE FC lightweight belt.

In a night that featured six title fights, Trice's fate would be different from previous challengers, defeating Wilson via decision and being crowned champion.

Jim Pace won the welterweight championship en route to becoming 3-0, with his first amateur fight being in April 2022. Pace is moving at a rapid rate for amateurs, winning a belt only two months from his debut.

The main event between Lucas Rosa and Geovanni Gomez for the featherweight title resulted in a draw, leaving many fans upset that the night ended in an inconclusive way.

Erick Lopez, a fan favorite in south Florida won the lightweight kickboxing title, while continuing to draw eyes towards his progression. Lopez's Palm Beach Boxing teammates, Remi Lazcano and Nomie Arellano were also scheduled to fight, but their opponents dropped out and replacements could not be found.

Mukhammad Saidov defeated Dylan Alvarez for the flyweight championship while Brian Batey beat Jimmy Hinel for light heavyweight gold.

Pace's teammates , JC San Juan and Isaac Martinez both won their fights, which capped off Goat Shed's record as 3-0 for the night.

Astrid Frangie, Gracie Grecco, Nosomy Pozo, and Israel Hernandez all came up victorious to round out the fight card.
